Let Me Comb Your Hair

As mentioned in my previous entry, I had my haircut so does Dek Dek. As for me, its due to my hairfall problem. For Dek Dek is more to let her being responsible and independent towards having her hair combed.

Mind you guys eh, Dek Dek is 13. Rambut Dek Dek memang panjang, paras punggung ok. But then, time after time Mama sure trim sikit2 rambut Dek Dek tu. Why keep a long hair should you not be able to comb it yourself? Ermm...Mama memang masa muda remaja dulu berambut panjang dan lebat. Infact, sekarang nih rambut Mama masih panjang cuma tak sepanjang dulu. Abah plak jenis yang memang tak suka anak2 perempuan dea rambut pendek. After all, kitaorang adik beradik nih kira bertuah la juga dilahirkan dengan rambut lurus. So, bila jaga..syampu selalu tak ke berkilau2 jadinya? Hehehe...But not for Dek Dek..Dea nih dari skolah rendah will make sure Mama akan sikatkan rambut dea seketat yang mungkin - tocang to be exact. Even nak tido pon tocang ok! The only time she let loose will be during she needs to get her hair shampooed and need them to dry.

So, setiap kali nak keluar ke mana2, kena la menunggu Dek Dek nih bersiap. Dah la patern mandi berjam2, nak kene tunggu plak rambut bersisir rapi. I have tried to sikat her hair few times, and dea mesti komplen "Tak ketat la sister". Kang mula la dea mengomel sakan. As usual, Cik Kuntum buat pekak je. Malas nak layan. Kot ikat ketat2 kang, camnelah rambut tuh nak bernafas! (yo yo oo je alasan!). Mama pon akan bising. Si Boy pon akan join the crowd once a while saying like "Bila la ko rati nak sikat rambut ko Dek?". Being not-so-care bout others remarks, complaint on her..Dek Dek buat derk je.

Makanya, Cik Kuntum ngan sukarela menaja Dek Dek to get her hair cut. I know how bad she wanted to have Mila's hairdo and since Abah dah approve, why not? The momment Mama nampak adik berambut pendek, her face macam lain sikit. Then she said sumting like "Tak lawa la".. with "that" look on her face. They haircut is fine. Really. Then nampak kat mata Mama cam bergenang air mata. I pretend I did not noticed it - yeah, I'm bz talking to the hairstylist, remember?Well...there she goes again. "That" look. Membayangkan seolah2 khidmat Mama dah tak diperlukan lagi untuk menyikat rambut anak perempuannya. Mungkin Mama rasa bagai hilang kepentingan? This mite sounds ridiculous but mind you Mama dah sikat rambut Dek Dek tu dari kecik ok?Kira2 13 tahun lamanya! All of sudden, Mama dah tak perlu buat lagi semua tuh. No more ikat ketat2 or tie up riben. No more shouting "Adekkk....!!!Cepatlah sikat rambut! Dah pukul berapa da nih!!!??".

Today, I saw Mama still ikat rambut Dek Dek. Thou rambut Dek Dek dah pendek, and she actually can just let her hair down and go off for school...For some reason, she still let Mama comb her, a ponytail wont harm anyone, rite? For that, I think Mama should be Ok and stop thinking that she has lost her spot in our heart. That will never happen, didn't it?
