I have a great weekend. Not because it is Valentine's and I've dated anyone (if having dinner with a bunch of nice, warm people counts - then yes i've dated them!).
Saturday's morning kick off with my personal favorite - The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Kurosan has made such a good review on this David's Fincher's latest masterpiece. It was adopted from 1920's story by F. Scott Fitzgerald, starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett as main actors. It managed to make me cries half way towards the end. Feel emberased at first but then i heard others cried too!
Beautiful script and cinematography, i'm pretty sure i'll be able to watch it another round. Hint : Who ever needs a company to watch the muvie, i sincerely offers me, myself and i. Hehehehe. Having 13 nominations for Academy Awards - Best Director, Best Actor ( to name a few), i believe they will win at least 5 maybe? Wonder when will Malaysian muvee will have something simillar. For those who have not watch it, go. Trust me, its worth every single penny u paid for. Lucky me to get a chance to watch it with my loved ones.
The very next morning - Sunday, the whole family went to TGV KLCC to watch the first ever 3D animation done by our local people; Geng : Pengembaraan Bermula Bersama Upin & Ipin. Full house ok! I finally learn something, in order to save your cash u better watch the earliest show i.e. 10.30 am or as long as it is before 11 am. Why? You will get the early bird rate even it is weekend. I'm not sure whether it applies on Public Holiday.
Yes, i paid for all the tickets. The reason being - to have the whole family to support the local product. No use to kutuk if you have not experience / watch the outcome (that's the reason why i dun make any harsh comment on Cicakman 2). Overall, i enjoyed it much. They works brilliantly ( at least for the 1st attempt - still new). Thanks to all the people behind the scenes who have finally made it happen to the big screen ( i was told it was a 3 years project!).
We need more of this to keep our entertainment industry alive. Agree? Betul betul betul betul!
