Live Animals Inside @ Gallery Wei Ling

I was reading Utusan - Hits, today's print. Dalam selak menyelak tu, mata Cik Kuntum tertancap pada satu post berkenaan saudara Azril Ismail. This has really lighten up my day. Previously Cik Kuntum ada menonton @ MHI that there will be a show / pameran on hasil kerja Azril on capturing the beauty, mystery and sorrow of Penjara Pudu.

Dengar nama Penjara Pudu tuh pon dah buat goosebump. Thou I dun really know who was Azril in real life, i was impressed by his masterpiece. The photos that he shot for this exhibition took him from year 2000 - 2003 to complete. This is due to his patience to capture everything using pencahayaan semulajadi. No effect was added to his artwork. He will wait for a perfect time to have just the right lighting to bring his shots alive. Bayangkan, betapa penyabar nyer dea! Yet, he really snapped those shots using black n white film. Its not using the normal colour nyer film / digital camera and start using all those effects to make things look good. This is more back to basic. He is using all his skills and experience in this field to make them a valuable collection.

"A researcher at heart, Azril Ismail is a Malaysian photographer to watch for his inquisitive, layered works which probe, question, and document moments and lives, which we have all chosen to overlook or ignore. It is through photographers like Azril, who keep exploring ‘unseen’ areas of life, that allow us to carry on our lives knowing that whatever we are missing out on , or not seeing, is being ‘safely stored away’ in his photographs.

Azril Ismail, graduated in Photography and Media Studies from the Columbus College of Art and Design, Ohio in 2001. On returning to Malaysia in 2002 he attained his Masters in Photography from Uitm.He has held numerous group exhibitions in the United States and Malaysia. This will be his first solo exhibition."

I don't know bout you guys, but i wanted to be there. For a record, Cik Kuntum ni seorang yang menghargai seni ok? One thing about art, you should be able to appreciate it in wat so ever medium you mite called it. It doesn't have to be a hit, huge presentation in order for the lover of art to actually see the beauty in it. Live Animals Inside will took place at :

Tgk karya beliau di Utusan newspaper gak (tp not today's print). Gambar2 yg diambil ada yg meremang, plus kalau ada perkataan2 didinding penjara.

Such as." i want to go out". "Help" etc..dan ada juga gambar2 dilukis macam unicorn?(tak tahulah samada "dia" gambarkan benda lain?).

Love to see it, tp rasanya i can't..takde cotiii huhu

ermmm i still remember for b&w photos, well it's not that easy to publish yeah. You required a lot of patient from A to Z yep that's on early age.

Remind me of "zaman kegemilangan" of my dad, but not sure if he using B&W processing using all chemical and stuck in dark room for processing. But B&W are not hard (for pro le) but all you need is your subject and composition and of cos le lighting.

Then you are required to bring a long a loffa films oh god, sure I can do that but for how long? B&W i think like FujiFilm and maybe other brands are darn expensive la awok tak termasuk processing lagi means after that la kan. Vice Versa.

p.s : I Love My Works on B&W
