:: How to Recruit the Right Person For the Job ?:

1 comment:
It must be hard for us, especially for those in HR to recruit the right person to fit in the vacant in an organization. It need a high level analytical skills and observation to do so. Well, i guess there's always a simpler version of doing it.

First, lets put about 100 bricks in some particular order in a closed room with an Open window.

At any one point, send 2 - 3 candidates in the room and close the door. Leave them alone and come back after 6 hours and then analyze the situation.

If they are counting the Bricks,
Put them in the Accounts Department.

If they are recounting the brick for at least the second time,
Put them in Auditing

If they have messed up the whole place with the bricks,
Put them in Engineering

If they are arranging the bricks in some strange order that what normal people will do,
Put them in Planning

If you found them throwing the bricks at each other actively,
Put them in Operations

If they are sleeping and don't seem to bother with your presence,
Put them in Security

If they have broken the bricks into pieces,
Put them in Information Technology

If they are still there sitting idle,
Put them in Human Resources

If they say they have tried different combinations, yet not a single brick has been moved,
Put them in Sales

If you walk in and find they have already left for the day,
Put them in Marketing

If all they do are passionately staring out of the Window,
Put them on Strategic Planning

And then last but not least
If they are busy talking to each other and yet not a single brick has been moved ...
Congratulate them and put them in
Top Management

Told ya, it's always another road to go to Kelantan. You just have to know how.

Pintu tren buka, nampak seorang mamat comel duduk di two seater. cK melangkah masuk terus labuhkan punggung duduk sebelah dia. Sesungguhnya bau perfume mamat itu sungguh mendamaikan jiwa. Dari lirik mata, cK nampak mamat tu khusyuk menenyeh2 skrin iPhone4 nya.

"Oh, main game rupanya".

Sibuk dia cuba menjaringkan bebola kertas umpama buat jaringan slam dunk hingga menarik perhatian seorang auntie pekerja CIMB untuk sama-sama menjenguk skrin mamat comel. cK pandang auntie tu, dia senyum lebar. cK pun senyum juga. cK sambung tenung mamat tu tunjuk skill main game. Tenung punya tenung, mamat tu berpaling dan tenung cK. Erk! Dia senyum, cK senyum. cK tegakkan kepala, keluarkan Cik Kiah dan terus tengok skrin handphone sendiri. Terasa merah kejap muka. cK jeling lagi.

"Oh, dah tukar game lain. Jadi driver pula sekarang".

Hebat. Memang cool gila tengok dia main game. Terus-terang kalau mamat ni la yang buat demo kat cK, memang sah cK akan keluar kedai bawa balik iPhone. Rasa membara je jiwa nak beli iPhone4. Galak tangan dia ke kiri, ke kanan ikut feel racing kereta. cK? Layan je tengok gelagat dia.

Tak lama lepas tu, cK tengok dia dah tukar game lain. Main perang-perang la pula. Still, gaya dia memang sesuai jadi santapan mata. Sesekali dengar dia mendengus bila taktik perang dia tak berjaya. Dengan wajanya, cK raba2 poket handbag. cK capai call card holder.

"This is it. I need to do this".

Macam tu la lebih kurang bisik hati cK. Nekad cK nak hulur je call card kat mamat tu. Ya, macam kes dengan 'trainman' dulu tu. All i need now is to write something on the card i.e. Jangan stress, Rilek lah or call me? And yes, cK kena tulis no handphone cK kat situ. So, tangan cK pantas godak2 isi perot beg untuk mencari sebatang pen. Setiap penjuru cK terjah tapi masih tak jumpa apa yang cK cari. Tak boleh jadi. Destinasi cK dah makin menghampiri. Korek lagi korek...

"Aiyo! Takde la plak kan!"

cK merungut dalam hati. Terasa kurang cerdiknya diri bila berjalan ke sana sini dengan beg yang besar tanpa kehadiran sebatang pen! Oh, sadis. So, i learned my lesson that day. There are at least 3 things that you need to bring in your bag when you leaving the house / office. First - wallet / purse, Second -  call card, Third - a ball-pen. Color may varies, but you need to bring the pen everywhere, anywhere. No excuse. Unless you didn't mind remain stranger to the cute hunk sitting next to you. Well, at least im not!

:: My Child Fruit ::

No comments:
Yes, the title is somehow broken. Just take it as another noun in your Manglish dictionary. Similar to fruit heart, child fruit does not refer to fruit at all. It was purely a direct conversion of Malay word 'anak buah'. It's me who loves to exaggerate things and make it sounds complicated and require an in depth understanding with unnecessary term (as some of you refer to). I just want to be unique, different. That's all.

Meet my first fruit child - Allia Atilia Balqisha binti Muzzaffar Shah. I better jot it down somewhere before i completely forget about it. It's long, i know. Seems like its a trend now to have babies name in three words. Come to think about it, Dekdek too has a long name spelled Amirah Iqlima Balqis and even Daniel, Muhammad Amirul Daniel. A few other friends' babies were having a long name too. It just running wild and like fashion, it will soon back to the era of one word-name as in Ali, Abu, Mariamah and so on. Let just be ok with it.

I am officially an auntie and shall be known as Mak Long now. Mind you, i am still in search of another funky , cool title to fit my new role in the family. Should i just follow the Indo fam by having Tante as the title - Tante Ra. Hurm...sounds odd when you say it repetitively. Auntie Ra? Mummy Ra? Not that i'm denying the fact, but  I don't want it to sound so 'makcik'. Help me if you have one, please.

Allia have yet to reach the age of 1month and weighted  2.2kg when born  which  then been advised by  the doctor to be monitored in the incubator with extra amount of O2 supplies. She is showing a good progress on her growth and that's a relief to all. She is not that cry baby type i must say. She cried for only 3 reasons so far - to feed her, to clean her poo and to change her diapers when she pee a lot. Good girl.

Apart of baby siting her when she's around, I have bigger mission with huge responsibilities you can ever imagine which i have yet to figure my way to get it done  - to find her uncle. Haha! God bless, amin.
